Background

I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working in the field of mental health for over ten years. I moved to Pennsylvania in July 2021. I worked for a child advocacy center in Florida for close to 12 years. I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with my Master's in Social Work and from the University of South Florida with my Bachelor's in Social Work degrees. I have a broad range of experience in terms of ages of clients (as low as 3 to as high as  90's) and have worked with clients of varied experiences, cultures, ethnicities and sexual orientations.  While working in the child advocacy center, I worked for 8 years exclusively doing specialized trauma therapy treatment with adult caregivers and children. I am a certified Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral therapist, I am trained in EMDR, have used it since 2018 and use a lot of elements of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction approaches and Solutions Focused Therapy Interventions. I have recently gotten trained in a new modality called the Early Trauma Protocol as well. It's a therapy intervention that looks at attachment wounds from conception to age 4. I also am culturally sensitive in my approach to all my clients and person-centered in how we approach your goals and pacing in treatment. I am an LGBTQ+ ally and also have personal and professional experience with persons with disabilities. I see myself as an advocate for my individual client and for equality for all people.
